A man who glassed a 17-year-old boy who confronted him after he groped the teenager’s 16-year-old friend has been given a suspended jail sentence.The boy was left permanently scarred.

A British tourist has been charged with glassing another man at a hotel in the Perth suburb of Innaloo. It is alleged he struck a 27-year-old man in the face with a glass after they became involved in a verbal altercation. The victim needed treatment in hospital for lacerations to his face. The accused has been charged with unlawful wounding.

Mum of three bottled a woman after her ex befriended her on Facebook

Holly Gilbert hit Amy Morse on the forehead with a bottle, cutting her face, and then threw it - hitting barmaid Rochienne O'Shea on the forehead; causing a cut that required stiches and knocking her unconscious. Gilbert pleaded guilty to two offences of assault causing actual bodily harm, she was sentenced to eight months imprisonment suspended for two years and placed under supervision for two years.

Pint glass thrown at drinker during match

Luke Carey was spared jail after he hurled a pint glass at another drinker during a football match and left him with a deep gash to his head. The judge sentenced the 24-year-old to nine months' imprisonment - suspended for two years - with 175 hours' unpaid work.

Man charged after Mudgee glassing

Police have charged a man after an alleged glassing in Mudgee at the weekend. He allegedly threw a beer glass at another man, which struck him on the left side of his head before shattering.
